20 things...

Since we have only 20 weeks to go (YIKES!), I thought I'd make a list of 20 reasons why I'm excited to meet my sweet baby, Jack:

1) seeing who he looks like...Mommy or Daddy?  Or what type of mixture of both?  Hopefully, he gets his Daddy's long chicken legs and precious curly hair...but anything he ends up with will be perfect and he will be the cutest thing we've ever laid eyes on!

2) hearing him giggle for the very first time.  I know it will be the sweetest music to our ears!

3) getting to read him stories every single night...it has always been the Banker children's favorite night time ritual with our Mom and Dad

4) seeing him with his Daddy...he is so excited to meet his little boy!

5) getting to hug, kiss, love on, and snuggle him!

6) seeing what his talents and interests will be

7) seeing him with his Nanny and Poppy - he is the first grandchild they will not be raising which makes him able to be truly treated as a grandchild (also, projects with his Poppy!)

8) seeing him with his Mamaw and Papaw (B's parents) - our niece and nephew (Jillian and Spencer) absolutely ADORE their Mamaw and Papaw and I know our little Jack will too!

9) seeing him spend time with Cathryn (his "Aunt Prissy" - she is so excited to meet her little "Jackrabbit"!)

10) the holidays!  They are already outstanding with him simply 'cooking' in there, I can only imagine how much better they'll be from now on once he gets here!

11) the first time he says, "Mama" or "Daddy".  The thought of it alone brings me to tears :)

12) getting to watch him learn, crawl, first steps, etc

13) family vacations!  They will be SO. MUCH. FUN.

14) Halloween: I cannot wait to dress him up in oh so precious costumes!

15) seeing his Daddy teach him to play sports - his Daddy is a sports fanatic and I know it will be a special bond between the two of them

16) having family dinners together (and me making Jack's food myself!)

17) watching him make and cultivate friendships and interact with others

18) seeing his precious personality and who he grows to be as a person

19) family time with just us 3...and hopefully one more some day!

20) praying with him and teaching him other family rituals, routines, and traditions

and now, 20 weeks to go until we get to meet our precious little boy!  We cannot wait!
