it's A...

BOY!!!!
Here is our precious Baby Jack's profile :)  Look at his cute little button nose!

We are beyond thrilled to announce that we are expecting a precious baby boy!!!  Our little "jackrabbit" is expected to make HIS debut on April 23rd, 2012!  We are both beyond ecstatic, but B is absolutely over the moon with excitement that he is getting a SON!!  He has been wishing it to be a boy from the moment we found out and I am so happy that his wish is coming true!

His Name: Jack Robert Thomas.  Jack was my grandfather's name (my dad's dad - "Grandpa Jack"), and Robert is (obviously) my dad's name AND is B's grandfather's name...so each part is really symbolic and has true roots in our families!  We have always known that we like one or two-syllable names for a boy (Max, Jack, Robert, etc.) so we went with the one that actually had meaning..AND was not one that had negative connotations from any former students. That is a definite damper for teachers...so many names you think you love can get a bad rap!

We went for our checkup today, but first, we had the gender ultrasound.  Cathryn, my Mom, and B were there for this special visit!  I was really nervous and wasn't getting my hopes up because I am only 15 weeks and it is a bit early, but she (and US too!) could see it clear as day that our baby is a baby boy...the anatomy there was a bit impressive to say the least...his Daddy is already proud... tee-hee :)

It was yet another magical moment for me, especially having those close to me to be there for the experience too...we just missed you, Mamaw Melva!!  She took several pictures, but her printer ran out of paper so we only got 4.  No complaints though, our baby boy was sucking his precious little thumb in one, and in another, we could see his full profile and he already has the cutest little button nose and full, perfect lips :)  Such a cutie!
Look up by his head, you can see a bump over his mouth...that's his little hand - he's sucking his little thumb.  So precious!
The proof is in the pudding!

He's OUR boy!
